Maniacal

A killer emerges from the shadows and takes his first victim in a quiet sleepy Seattle neighborhood. Gruesome and methodical, the murder is the first homicide case for Detective Ceamus MacAfee.

For anyone, the death would be a shock. Not for Ceamus. Something about it is too familiar and hits close to home. It reminds him of a scene from his past, locked away and buried.

When Ceamus’ partner Lieutenant Dan Bellucci questions him about the death and why it didn’t phase him, it forces the young man to unlock a sealed door and share his own demons from a faraway world and time long ago. As the killer adds to the body count, the nature of the deaths begin to paint a sinister picture. What appeared random bleeds into victims having a connection to the case. When the next target becomes Ceamus’ fiancée Liz, his past catches up and he must confront his fears.

Forced to run and hide away as the investigation focuses on the suspect, the killer tracks them down. The hunt is on, with Ceamus trying to keep Liz alive while dealing with a ghost who won’t die. He must rectify a wrong and protect the woman he loves at all costs. Success means everything. He has to finish the job this time and burn down the door.

Fail and he loses again.
